Why does Pivot need access to my location?
When you first log into Pivot, it will request access to your location. If you don't grant access, you will not be able to pair your Pivot breath sensor. Location access is required for the initial sensor pairing to work. It is also required if you'd like to be able to use the "cigarette map" feature, where you can see the locations of the cigarettes you log.
Once you have paired your breath sensor, you can go to your phone's settings and disable location access for Pivot if you prefer. This will be different based on what kind of phone you have. Typically in your settings on smartphones there's a category called "Apps." That's where you should be able to find the Pivot app and remove GPS access. However, if you need to pair your breath sensor again, you will need to re-enable it.
